Jessie Phillips

Jessie J. Phillips, 55, of Ottawa passed away at 8:15 AM Wednesday (April 5, 2017) at his residence.
Visitation will be Tuesday (April, 11, 2017) from 5 to 7 P.M. at the Hagi & Baker Funeral Home, Streator. Funeral Services will be at 7 P.M. following the visitation at the funeral home with Deacon Daryl Redman officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded after the services.
Jessie was born on January 19, 1962 in Jonestown, Mississippi to Houston and Ledora (Washington) Phillips.  He married Lisa Alexander on November 19, 2016 in Ottawa, IL. She survives in Ottawa.
Also surviving are 7 children, 5 grandchildren, 3 brothers and 1 sister.  He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
He graduated from Ottawa Township High School.  He was self-employed.
He loved being with his family, Sports, especially the Cubs, Bears and Bulls, fishing, cooking and telling stories about his childhood.
