Mark Alan Jolly, 54, of Streator passed away at 3:51 PM Sunday (September 3, 2017) at his residence.
A visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Thursday at the Hagi & Baker Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Rev. Rory Christensen of Central Church of Christ will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Full Military rites will be accorded at the cemetery by Streator Leslie G. Woods American Legion Post 217 and Streator Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1492.
He was born on December 1, 1962 in Streator to Oddie Dee & Leola “Jackie” M. (Reding) Jolly. He was formerly married to Kerry Galloway.
He is survived by his two sons: Mark Samuel Jolly, stationed in the United States Marine Corps in Oceana Virginia and Wesley Gene Jolly of Streator; his siblings: K. Marie Zeilman (John Verdiramo) of Streator, Susan (Steven Evans) Dietman of Chillicothe, Margie Graff of Streator, Vicki (Gary) Vickers of Streator and Ronald Jolly of Chicago; a sister in law: Pam Jolly of Minonk and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Gary Jolly; a niece, Cassie Jolly and two brother-in-laws.
He graduated from Streator Township High School in 1981 and attended I.V.C.C. and Kankakee Junior College. He also served in the United States Air Force during the Gulf War.
He had been employed by St. Mary’s Hospital as an electrician.
He was a loving father and his name described him perfectly as he was always very Jolly. Mark attended all of his children sporting events and also had coached them.
