Alice Arnold

Alice Marie Arnold, 84, of Streator died Wednesday (November 30, 2016) at 12:24 PM at Parker Nursing Home in Streator.

A celebration of Alice’s life will be held on Sunday from 2-4 PM at the Hagi Funeral Home.

Alice was born April 26, 1932 in Marseilles to Robert and Nadine (Youngling) Babcock.  She married Billy J. Arnold on Jan. 29, 1954 in Marseilles.  Attendants were Dewey (deceased) and Rose Wilson.

She is survived by her husband, Bill of Streator; children:  Deana (Mike) Puckett of Streator and William (Sherry) Arnold of Arkansas; four grandchildren:  Rachel (Vince Contreras) Puckett of Streator, Katy (Jason) Meade of Ohio, Tammy Reeves of Missouri and Russell Arnold of Arkansas; two great granddaughters:  Constance and Lilly Reeves of Missouri.

Alice worked at Owen’s Illinois Glass for 37 years until her retirement.  Upon retirement Alice and Bill spent their time traveling in their R.V., spending winters in Arizona.  They also enjoyed fishing in Canada and Branson, Missouri with friends.  Both were avid golfers and enjoyed golfing wherever they went.  Alice also loved to play Bingo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert (Bobby) Babcock.

Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
