Alice Talty

STREATOR-  Alice L. Talty 91 formerly of rural of Streator died Sunday morning (June 24, 2012) at Robins Private Care Home, Streator.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator with Monsignor Philip Halfacre, officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 AM Wednesday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
Mrs. Talty was born July 2, 1920 in rural Ransom the daughter of Bernhard and Ella (Voges) Hansen. She married Bernard Talty, Mar. 31, 1943 in Granada Mississippi. He preceded her in death Jan. 29, 2003.
Alice was a homemaker and assisted her husband on the farm. She was a member of the former St. Anthony’s Church, and currently a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church and the Altar and Rosary Society of her church. She attended the Widman School in rural Ransom.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol (David) Van Laar, Magnolia, two sons, Roger (Edna) Talty, and Kenneth (Kathy) Talty both of rural Streator, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one grest great grandson, one sister, Bernice (Robert) Schultz, two brothers, Bernhard (Shirley) Hansen and Glenn (Geanette) Hansen all of Streator.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters, Leona Johnson, Zelma Eckstrom, Evelyn Hansen, Helen Taylor and one great great granddaughter.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
