Andrew Ballock

Andrew G. Ballock Jr. 85 of Streator died Monday evening (Mar. 21, 2011) at St. Mary’s Hospital, Streator.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday at St. Michael the Archangel Church , Streator. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 AM Thursday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator. Burial with full military rites conducted by members of American Legion Post # 217 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post # 1492 will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator.
Mr. Ballock was born May 31, 1925 in Streator the son of Andrew and Anna (Dudak) Ballock Sr. He and his wife Victoria were married in 1956 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Peoria .
Andy had been employed at Libbey-Owens-Ford Glass Co., Ottawa for thirty five years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church , the former St. Stephen’s Church and American Legion Post # 217 all of Streator. Andy was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Navy in the Pacific. He attended St. Stephen’s grade school and Streator High School .
He is survived by his wife Vicky of Streator, one son, Gary (Mary Ann) Ballock, Streator, two sisters, Dorothy (Lou) Essman, Streator and Leona (James) DeBernardi, Ottawa , two nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Lucille Ballock and one brother, George Ballock.
Pallbearers will be Al Katchmar, Danny Dudak, George Lesak, Willie Evans, Ron Plesko and Jerry Yedniak
