Arlyne S. Nettleingham, 92 of Streator died Thursday, September 17, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Streator.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator with Pastor Mary McQuilkin officiating. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday at Chatsworth Cemetery, Chatsworth. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 Tuesday prior to services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ransom United Methodist Church.
Arlyne was born March 13, 1923 in Chatsworth, the daughter of Fred and Salma Attig Hemken. She married Dale E. Nettleingham in January of 1942. He died January of 1973. She is survived by three sons, Mark (Kristine) Nettleingham of Little Silver, NJ, Craig (Judi) Nettleingham of Ottawa, and Reid (Kim) Nettleingham of Streator; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dale.
Arlyne was a graduate of Chatsworth High School in 1940 and attended the Gallagher Business College in Kankakee. She worked as a bookkeeper at Glenn McCann Co. in Ransom and was the Ransom Town Clerk for over 20 years.
She was a member of the Ransom United Methodist Church, the Women’s group and sung in the choir at the church. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors Club and a Pink Lady at St. Mary’s Hospital. She enjoyed making ceramics and taking them to various craft shows.
