Clementina “Clemen” B. Baca, 66, of Streator passed away at 9:45 AM Thursday (February 22, 2018) at Heritage Health and Rehabilitation in Streator.
A visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Friday (March 2, 2018) at the Hagi & Baker Funeral Home and also from 9:30 - 10:15 AM Saturday at the funeral home.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday (March 3, 2018) at St. Michael the Archangel Church. Rev. Raymond Guthrie will officiate.
Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
She was born on November 23, 1951 in Neuvo Lardo, Mexico to Leonardo & Anna (Salinas) Blanco. She married Trinidad Baca on June 14, 1975 in Mexico. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2016.
She is survived by her children: Claudia (Sean) Chalkey of Streator, Javier Baca of Streator and Angelica Baca-Contreres of Streator; grandchildren: Olivia, Isiah & Nevaeh Contreres, Bruxton Chalkey and Jena and Juliet Baca; 3 brothers: Leonardo (Yolada) Blanco and Luis (Maria) Blanco both of Laredo, TX and Raul (Carmen) Blanco of Mexico and sisters: Guadalupe Herrera and Nena Cantu both of Laredo, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters: Ana Maria Blanco and Antonia Blanco.
She had worked for Anchor Glass until its closure then had worked at Coils in Dwight and then at Brownies in Gardner.
She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church.
She loved to cook and her specialties were her flour tortillas and her rice. She enjoyed watching her soap operas and she always put her children first and loved her grandchildren.
