Daniel Harback

STREATOR-  Daniel J. Harback  83 of Streator died Thursday morning (June 21, 2012) at St. Mary’s Hospital, Streator.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Streator with Rev. Daniel Stalker, officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 AM Monday at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator. Hagi Funeral Home, Streator is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Harback was born July 10, 1928 in Streator, the son of George and Anna (Palya) Harback. He married Carolyn Hoskins, May 4, 1957 in Streator. She survives.
Dan had been employed by the Burlington Northern Railroad and later was a custodian at Streator High School for thirty years, retiring in June 1991. He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and former member of the Eagles Lodge, Aerie # 645 and Sandy Ford Sportsman Club, all of Streator. Dan attended Wilson Grade School. He was an avid golfer, loved the St. Louis Cardinals and was always there to cheer on the Streator teams.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn, one daughter, Sue Ellen (Terry) Henson, one son, Daniel T. (Jennifer) Harback, both of Streator, three grandchildren, Caitlin and Jordan Henson and Shannon Harback.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Elizabeth Harback in infancy and two brothers, Robert and George Harback.
Pallbearers will be Robert Hoskins, Mike Harback, Mark and Zack Garrison, Mark Ferko and Dan Eggleston.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
