Erika Haeussler

Erika F. Haeussler, 90, of Streator passed away at 12:30 PM Tuesday (January 16, 2018) at a private care home in Streator.

A visitation will be held from 1-4 PM Sunday at the Hagi & Baker Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM Monday at St. Michael the Archangel Church.  Rev. Raymond Guthrie will officiate.

Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.

She was born on January 22, 1927 in Heilbronn, Germany to Eugen & Frida (Aller) Kuhlewein.  She married Guido T. Haeussler on August 10, 1959 in Neureut, Germany.  He preceded her in death in 1982.

She is survived by sons:  Allan “Big Al” Haeussler of Streator and Ted (Tanya) Haeussler of Columbia, Missouri; 2 granddaughters:  Lauren Haeussler & Tara Haeussler, both of Columbia, Missouri and a sister Linda James of Streator.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son Michael in infancy.

She was a bus driver for Kline Bus Service then First Student Bus Service.

She was a former member of St. Anthony of Padua Church and now a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church.  She formerly belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary.
