Florence Delores DeZarn, 88, was called home by her Savior, Jesus Christ in the early afternoon on Wednesday, November 27, 2013. She had been in Franciscan St. James Hospital, Chicago Heights, Illinois for a short period of time.
Florence was born April 14, 1925 in Ancona, Illinois to Harry Deverne and Nellie Agnes (Egan) Bradley. She lived most of her life in tranquil Ancona, surrounded by her many flower and vegetable gardens. Florence and husband Ben, who passed away May 23, 2012, divided their time for the last twenty years between Ancona and Garland, Texas. They appreciated the mild Texas winters. She enjoyed gardening and being outdoors, cooking and baking, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. Florence was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church in Streator, Illinois and
St. Michael the Archangel Church in Garland, Texas.

Grandchildren: Jade Johnson, Amber Johnson (Jon Thompson), Ariel Howell

Sister: Delores Jean (Russell) Scott
Brother: Thomas (Barbara) Bradley
And numerous nieces and nephews.
Florence will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 62 years, Benjamin Franklin DeZarn; and brothers: William “Bill” Bradley, Clarence “Joe” Bradley, and Raymond “Pete” Bradley
Visitation will be from 1:00-2:30 PM Saturday, June 28, 2014, at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator with Memorial Services at 2:30 PM with Monsignor Brian Brownsey, officiating, followed by burial in Defenbaugh Cemetery, Ancona.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
