OTTAWA- Gertrude N. Stacy 86 of Ottawa died Wednesday morning (Jan. 28, 2015) at the Ottawa Pavilion.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday Feb. 7, 2015, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Ottawa with Charles Dillard, officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 PM Saturday at the Kingdom Hall. Hagi Funeral Home, Streator is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Stacy was born Dec. 11, 1928 in Cayuga IL the daughter of James O. and Nerine O. (Becker) Reed. She married Ray H. Stacy Sept. 2, 1950 in Odell. He preceded her in death Oct. 10, 2007.
Gertie was a homemaker and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Ottawa. She attended Odell Grade School and was the valedictorian of Odell High School, class of 1947.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan (Bruce) Scott, Ottawa and Kimberly (Brad) Kelm, Bement, two sons, Frederick “Rick” (Tedra) Stacy, Boswell IN and Rex (Paula) Stacy, rural Ottawa, sixteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a son-in-law, Si Keith, rural Ottawa and brothers-in-law, Francis (Vickie) Stacy, Indiana and Glenn (Margie) Stacy Connecticut.
Gertie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Nanette Keith, two sisters, Virginia Staher and Adrian Rodell
