Joyce Solomon

Joyce M. Solomon, 91, of Bloomington passed away at 5:50 PM Monday December 31, 2018 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center in Bloomington.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Thursday at the Ancona Cemetery.

The Hagi & Baker Funeral Home in Streator is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born on August 14, 1927 in Bloomington, IL to Dowl & Ruth (Herder) Mauney.  She married Robert Clark Solomon on September 22, 1951 at the University Christian Church in Normal.  He preceded her in death on May 13, 2018.

She is survived by a daughter, Lynn Balint of Normal; a son James C. (Andrea) Solomon of Glendale, MO; 4 grandchildren:  Chris & Bryan Solomon, Sarah McKenna & Jennifer Sasai and a great grandson, Eric Solomon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, Virginia Conklin and a brother, Vance Mauney.

She graduated from University High School and attended the University of Illinois.
