Karen M. Patton

Karen M. Patton, 76 of Streator passed away peacefully Thursday, June 22, 2023 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Wed, June 28, 2023 at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Streator.  Fr. Ignacio Cárdenas officiating.  Pallbearers will be Nick Libby, Patrick Duffy, Corey Inman, Derek Stull, Brian Harlan and James Sherwood.  Cremation rites will be accorded and burial of ashes will be at a later date in St. Casimir’s Cemetery.  A Rosary will be recited at 4:30 PM Tuesday with visitation to follow from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator.

Karen was born May 17, 1947 in Streator, a twin daughter of George P. and Joan B. (Reed) Faustner. 

She is survived by two sons, Jeff (Annie) Patton and Christopher (Laura Hunt) Patton, both of Streator; three grandchildren, Jeffery Patton, Savannah (James) Sherwood, and Ashley Patton.  Also surviving are siblings, her twin Kathy Inman of Streator and Julie (David) Stull, both of Streator.

Karen grew up in Streator attending St. Stephen’s grade school and Streator High School, graduating in 1965.  She worked at Owen’s Glass right out of high school until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish, the American Legion Auxillary Post 217, VFW Auxilliary Post 1492, and Eagles Club 645.

Karen enjoyed crafts, ceramics and spending time with her grandkids.
