Leatrice “Lee” Neumann, 94 of Streator passed away at 2:05 PM Tuesday (June 20, 2017) at her residence.
A memorial visitation will be held from 9-11 AM Saturday (July 22, 2017) at the Hagi & Baker Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Rev. Raymond Guthrie of St. Michael the Archangel Church will officiate.
Private Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
She was born December 4, 1922 in Streator to Albert & Wilhelmina (Stuwe) Mandula. She married Philip J. Neumann on August 27, 1949 at St. Anthony’s Church. He preceded her in death on April 23, 2005.
She is survived by two sons: David (Audrey) Neumann of Streator and Ronald (Tracy) Neumann of Richlands, N.C.; 3 grandsons: Brad Neumann, Scott (Laura) Neumann and Christopher Neumann; 2 granddaughters: Amanda (Fred) Pace and Jillian (Andrew) Sonnenberg and two great granddaughters: Aaliyah Neumann and Imogen Sonnenberg and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, granddaughter Christina Neumann and a brother Albert “Gus” Mandula.
She graduated from St. Stephens Grade School with the class of 1936 and Streator High School Class of 1940.
She had worked for Streator Manufacturing Company and was a “lunch lady” at Kimes School for 15 years. She had also been a carhop at Silverfross Drive In.
She was a former member of St. Anthony of Padua Church and now a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church. She had belonged to the Altar & Rosary Society and was on the Streator Hobby Show Council for 28 years.
In lieu of flowers or masses, memorials may be directed to the Illinois Valley Brain Injury Clubhouse, Ramp Builders, IVCH Hospice, St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital or charity of the donor’s choice.
