Linda L. Salgado

Linda L. (Vietti) Salgado, 80 of Streator formerly of Aurora, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024 at the Arch of Streator.

Linda was born April 7, 1944 in Pontiac, a daughter of Antone and Ellen (Leach) Vietti.

She is survived by her husband, Benito Salgado of Streator; three daughters, Laura (Jamie) Deleon of Streator, Sylvia (Juan Martinez) Martinez of Streator, and Hilda Roja of Aurora; 13 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.  She is also survived by a brother, William “Bill” Vietti of Streator; and a sister, Ellen Wade of Dyer, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Joe Aceveto; a sister, Patricia Quitschau; and three brothers, David Vietti, Tony Vietti and Joe Vietti.

Linda was a loving mother and grandmother.  She was the backbone of her family which kept everyone together.  She will be deeply missed by her family.

Cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no services.  Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator is assisting the family with arrangements.
