Norman L. Etenburn

Norman L. Etenburn, 95 of Streator, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024 at his residence.

 Following Norman’s wishes, there will be no services and cremation rites will be accorded. Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

 He was born on December 18, 1928 in Terre Haute, Indiana, a son of Lewis B. and Alice (Mahler) Etenburn. He married Margaret Surrock on November 13, 1948 at St. Stephen’s Church, Streator. She preceded him in death on December 4, 2015.

 He is survived by a daughter, Kristine Vickers; five grandchildren, Amy (Greg) Nink, Ryan (Lori) Etenburn, Shay (Doug Gassman) Vickers, Billy Etenburn, and Devin Dignan; five great grandchildren; and five great granddaughters.

 He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Lewis E. Etenburn and Gary Etenburn; a daughter-in-law, Peggy Etenburn; and a sister, Nelda Lyons.

 Norman had served in the Army Air Force. He had worked for Anthony’s, Peabody Myers, and later Vactor until his retirement.

 Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
