Patricia Kovalik

Patricia Kovalik 80 of Streator died Wednesday afternoon (Aug. 17, 2011) at St. Mary’s Hospital, Streator.
Private family funeral services will be held Saturday Sept. 10, 2011 at St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Streator. Hagi Funeral Home, Streator is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Kovalik was born June 11, 1931 in Streator the daughter of William and Sabina (Guyon) Reed. She married David Kovalik Oct. 28, 1950 in Streator. He preceded her in death June 9, 1994.
Pat had been employed at Hornsby’s and at Klines, both of Streator. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary both of Streator. She attended St. Anthony’s Grade School and Streator High School .
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Kovalik, Bloomington and Tracy (Gordon) Tharp, Round Rock TX, one son, Tom (Phyllis) Kovalik, Plainfield, four grandchildren, Amanda (Ben) Woolcock, Joliet, Martin Kovalik, Frankfort IL, Ian and Lauren Tharp, both of Round Rock TX, one great granddaughter, Ella Woolcock and two sisters, Joan Faustner and Anita Muscato both of Streator along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, Evelyn Harcharik, Helen Market and Mary Poruba and one brother, William Reed.
Memorials may be made to the ALS Association in memory of her husband.
