Paula J. Wheeler

Paula J. Wheeler, 77 of Streator passed away Monday, December 26, 2022 at her residence.

A celebration of life will be held from 11:00 to 1:00 Monday, January 2, 2023 at Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator.  Burial will be at a later date in Riverview Cemetery, Streator.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Paula was born May 26, 1945 in Spring Valley, a daughter of Paul and Alma Corrine (Gallup) Greathouse.  She married Clarence “Ed” Wheeler on July 20, 2004.  He preceded her in death on December 26, 2021.

She is survived by a daughter, Peggy (Bernie) Kennedy of Streator; a son, Michael (Kristen) Majercin of Virginia; step-children, Jim (Kim) Wheeler of Florida, Jody (Kevin) Kuball of Kentucky, Jef Wheeler of Colorado, Laurie (Sam) Evola of Morris, and Russell Wheeler of Florida; 13 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.  Also surviving are two brothers, Fred (Marge) Greathouse of Buena Vista, AK and Jim (Shirley) Greathouse of Huntsville, AL.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Sandra Beavers.

Paula was a beloved mother, daughter, wife, sister and friend, she was a compassionate woman who devoted much of her time caring for those around her and will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
