STREATOR- Ramona B. (Harcar) Harding 83 of Streator died Friday afternoon (Aug. 3, 2012) at St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 AM Thursday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator with Monsignor Philip Halfacre, officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 PM Wednesday at Hagi Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4:00 PM Wednesday. Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery.
Mrs. Harding was born Sept. 17, 1928 in Streator, the daughter of Frederick and Anna (Crouch) Kreier. She married Thomas Harcar Jr. Apr. 8, 1948, he preceded her in death Dec. 7 1970, and she later married David Harding who preceded her in death.
Ramona was a homemaker, earlier she had been employed as a cook at Town and Country Motel and Restaurant and was the former owner of the Streator Auction Barn. She was a member or the former St. Stephen’s Church, currently a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church and the Women of the Moose. She enjoyed bingo, was an avid bowler, loved fishing and was a devoted babysitter.
She is survived by one son Thomas J.(LaDonna) Harcar, Tonganoxie Kansas, three granddaughters, Mechelle Harcar, Angela (Dustin) Dick and Tracy (Robert) Rafols, three great grandchildren, Aubrey Dick, Seth and Lydia Rafols, three sisters, Bernice Sopher, Streator, Irene Cox, Las Vegas, NV and Erma (Jim) Keszei, Cleveland OH and one brother, Ronald (Margie) Kreier, Streator.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two sons Matthew and Freddie Harcar, two sisters, Gertrude LeRette and Ethel Neblock.
Pallbearers will be granddaughters, Mechelle Harcar, Tracy Rafols and nephews, Rodney Kreier, Skip and Gale Leonard and Ted Gillman.
