Russell Reynolds

Russell Reynolds, 97 of Streator passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at his home.

Russell was born in Streator, a son of James and Dorothy (Atkinson) Reynolds.  He married Phyllis Osterdock, a marriage which lasted seventy-one years until she preceded him in death.

He attended Grant Grade School and graduated from Streator High School.  Upon graduation he entered the Navy, serving in the Pacific through the end of WWII.

He graduated from a technical college and then worked as an electrician at Ashinger Electric in Streator until retiring.

He is survived by two daughters, Nan and Jayne; three sons, Russell Robb (Grace), Scott (Christian) and Ken (Heidi); three granddaughters, Lauren (Andrew), Katherine (Jeffrey), and Laura; two grandsons, Robert (Jessica) and Stephen; and seven great grandchildren.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and his siblings, Dorothy, Stanley and Jim.

Private funeral services will be held at Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator.  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator.

Memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army, which he remembered with gratitude for their helping of the troops in WWII, to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to the donor’s  choice.
