Sharon Vanda

SPRING VALLEY-  Sharon Rankin Vanda 63 of Spring Valley formerly of Streator died Friday at her home.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator with Rodney Kreier, officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday at Hagi Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Streator.
Sharon was born June 29, 1951 in Streator the daughter of William and Anna Marie (Worrells) Rankin.
She married John Vanda, who preceded her in death Aug. 20, 2004.
Sharon had been employed at several restaurants in the area. She attended Streator grade schools and her received her GED.
She is survived by one daughter, Sherri Vanda Phillips, Streator, two sons, John Rankin, LaSalle and William (Erin) Rankin, Streator, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters, Ruth (Ed) Handzus and Deborah (Manuel) Romero both of Streator and one brother, Earl (Dottie) Rankin, Gillette WY.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Ralph “Larry” Rankin and Ronald Rankin.
