Theodore E. Jamka

Theodore E. “Ted” Jamka, 67 of Streator passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022 at his home.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Hagi & Schultz Funeral Home, Streator, with Monsignor Philip Halfacre officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Streator. Pallbearers will be Paul Jacobus Sr., Paul Jacobus Jr., Matthew Law Sr., Matthew Law Jr., Nicholas Law, and Freddy Reatherford.   Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Thursday prior to services at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Ted was born January 5, 1955 in East Chicago, Indiana, a son of Theodore E. and Ann (Barrot) Jamka Sr..  He married Mary Lou Martino in 1979 in Chicago, IL.  She preceded him in death on June 4, 1995.

He is survived by two daughters, Wendy (Matthew Law) Jamka and Steffanie Jamka, both of Streator; six grandchildren, Matthew Law Jr., Nickolas Law, Madison Law, Paul Jacobus Jr., Brooklyn Jacobus, and Jersey Reatherford; two sisters, Diane (Arnold) Wright of Brazil, IN and Jacklyn (Chuck) Thill of Knox, IN; and one brother, Jack Thill of Las Vegas, NV.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Lou; a brother, Jim Thill; and a step-son, Mark Balinus Jr..

Ted loved working on cars and taught his daughters how to work on their own cars.  He also enjoyed attending Cruise Nights.
